FAQs

Do you take insurance?

No, we are what your insurance company considers an out-of-network provider. We do not accept insurance or bill your insurance company directly, but welcome HSA payments. We CAN provide a superbill if you are self-filing, just ask!

Do you offer on-site or in-home massage?

Yes! Ben offers home and office visits, typically on Fridays. He can provide a massage chair (perfect for office wellness or parties) or a massage table.

Pricing for a ninety minute table massage is $250 and can accommodate for up to three back-to-back sessions at your location/day.

Chair massage is $100/hr + a $100 travel fee with a $500 minimum.

*Gratuity for on-site massage is appreciated but not expected.

You’ll want to reach out to Ben directly in advance for availability and booking for on-site massage:

do you offer couples massage?

Not at the moment. Our private massage rooms only accommodate one person at a time. For those who are looking for highly skilled massage therapy in a spa-like environment, some couples book back-to-back and enjoy exploring our vibrant Queen Anne or West Seattle neighborhoods while the other experiences our mindblowing massage skills.

What should I wear?

All massage at Balance Bodyworks is performed on the massage table using skillful draping techniques. Most clients benefit most when free of all makeup, jewelry, and undergarments. Your comfort is first and foremost; If you prefer to leave something on, your practitioner will work around it and still be as thorough as possible. You may be a little oily (in the best way!) after your session, so you may want to wear (or bring) clothes that can accommodate that.

We offer scalp massage, so if you’d like to indulge please come with hair down and scalp accessible.

How much extra is cupping / intra-oral / hot towels?

No extra fees! These are included within your scheduled time. When you book with us, you get 90 minutes of our time (including your intake). We use cupping, intra-oral massage, and hot towels when they are indicated. We’ll talk with you first during the intake to create a customized treatment plan.
